Reclaiming Inner Balance
I offer specialized clinical support for those navigating anxiety and panic, blending cognitive-behavioral insights with calming mindfulness practices. My mission is to guide you toward resilience and tranquility within a safe, professional setting that honors your unique journey toward long-term mental wellness.
Richard Zinbarg is a PhD‑level clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience helping people navigate anxiety and panic. I earned my BA from the University of Pennsylvania and my PhD in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University. I completed a CBT internship with Dr. Edna Foa at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and a three‑year CBT post‑doctoral fellowship with Dr. David Barlow at the Center for Stress and Anxiety Disorders. My work is grounded in cognitive‑behavioral therapy for panic and mindfulness‑based stress reduction, with a steady, practical focus on skills you can use in daily life. In addition to in-person appointments in my Evanston office, I also offer services over Zoom across 40+ states via PSYPACT.
